Cranbrook Educational Community is located in the City of Bloomfield Hills in the State of Michigan. As Cranbrook's official repository, the Archives is responsible for collecting, preserving, and making available community and divisional records of permanent value. Cranbrook School, Kingswood School, and Brookside School operated separately until 1970, when it was decided to govern them together. This National Historic Landmark was founded in the early 20th century by newspaper mogul George Gough Booth. In 1985, Cranbrook and Kingswood schools were merged to create a co-educational upper school institution.
