last time we were in Cornwall, we were staying in Truro; we took a train from there to Falmouth Docks station and then walked to the castle - we walked around the headland which may have been the 'long' way and I suppose it took us about 20 minutes to half an hour to walk (maybe less, maybe more, it's a few years now).
